The Body Wrap

There are so many different varieties of the body wrap that you can choose from; it can get a little confusing. How do you choose the body wrap that will have the most effects on your body? How long will the body wrap take and how expensive is it? Even if the body wrap is expensive, will you be able to see immediate results? When you are spending money on the body wrap, you need to be able to see results and we suggest that you start by getting a detailed consultation with your salon technician. Here is what you can do.

Start by selecting a good spa for the body wrap:
Most spas do offer different varieties of body wraps. These body wraps also contain active ingredients that will work on your body to cause weight loss and inch loss. We suggest you choose a spa that also has a medical consultant or a nurse on call 24 hours a day. This is because patients may develop allergic reactions or even panic reactions to the full body coverage of the body wrap. In fact, Naturopathic spas or Ayurvedic spas are excellent for weight loss and inch loss. These spas will have special packs that will contain working ingredients. The spas will have trained professionals who will apply the body wrap correctly to ensure faster weight and inch loss.

Consult with the spa technician before you choose and apply the body wrap:
Before you actually choose the body wrap, we suggest you consult with the salon technician or take an appointment with the spa doctor. Let them know if you have any skin conditions or health problems that may interfere with the body wrap. Please note that the body wrap you choose will be covering your body for more than an hour and it may exacerbate skin conditions that are already present. Ensure that you check the body wrap ingredients and how they work on your body. Consult with the naturopathic physician or your personal physician before proceeding. Do not do the body wrap if you have claustrophobia or fears of small enclosed areas.

Prepare for the body wrap:
The body wrap will cause loss of water. It is very necessary for you to drink water before the body wrap, during the body wrap procedure and after the body wrap as well. This will ensure that you are properly hydrated. Some salon technicians also recommend that you do a whole body scrub before the body wrap. A body scrub will prep your skin by removing the dead skin cells and open skin pores for better penetration of the body wrap. After the body wrap, the salon technician will take you to a shower room where you can wash off the body wrap. They will then treat your skin by applying lotion to hydrate it. Do not massage your skin again after the body wrap but apply lotion and rest.
